nativity scenes are making their appearance in our homes and parish
churches. According to legend, St Francis invented the custom of the
Christmas crib in order “to represent the birth of that Child in

By Fr Joe Giacobbe and Ron Taylor, Wilkinson Publishing
Fr
Joe Giacobbe and Ron Taylor have a lifelong love and understanding of
thoroughbred horse racing and their book, The Spirit of Racing,
beautifully illustrates this.
Stories of courage, persistence and
luck abound in these pages and remind us that they can be repeated a
hundred times throughout the racing industry, from Broome to Ballarat,
from Ceduna to Cairns and at all courses in between.
